Our Little Chess Masters Made Their Moves!
This year at Zekeriyaköy Orman Anaokulu – ForestKids, we once again held an exciting Chess Tournament with our students. Chess, which supports children’s attention, patience, concentration and strategic thinking skills, turned into a joyful and meaningful learning experience through the tournament atmosphere.
Throughout the tournament, our students did much more than play chess. They experienced thinking before acting, waiting for their turn, evaluating different possibilities and taking part in a respectful competitive environment with their friends. With every move, they planned, focused and took important steps toward making their own decisions with confidence.
Little Masters on Stage
The excitement, self-confidence and concentration our children showed during the tournament made us very proud. For some of our students, this tournament was a brand-new experience, while others had the opportunity to reinforce what they had already learned. Together, we observed that both winning and losing are natural parts of the learning journey.
Think, Plan, Make Your Move
At ForestKids, we place great importance on activities that support our children’s academic, social and cognitive development. Our Chess Tournament became one of the most valuable examples of this approach. Our students had a wonderful time while strengthening their problem-solving, focus and strategic thinking skills.
